| The following pages are dedicated to the Roman site in Great Dunmow where
in the summer of 2004 whilst digging the foundations to the garage a few
bits of rims of pots were found. These pieces were taken to a local
Archaeologist who felt they may be Belgic ware.
The Curator of Saffron Walden Museum came to see the site and we found
that Stane Street went through the garden, consequently the Essex Archeologist came
to see the plot and the many more pot shards found in it. The following pictures
are of the plot, there are more pictures in the link at the top called
photographs.
